Ladies of LaSalette

The purpose of this organization shall be the spiritual advancement of the membership to unite all of the women of the parish in religious, educational and social activities; the care and upkeep of the sanctuary; and to serve as the agency through which the women of the parish shall participate in the Diocesan program of the Lay Apostolate by affiliation with the Tyler Diocesan and National Council of Catholic Women. The Ladies of LaSalette meet on the 2nd Monday of each month at 11:00 am in the Parish Hall.
This wonderful group of women provides tremendous service through prayer, care of the altar, service to the bereaved and the special events of our parish that require elegance and style.
Our group serves the parish well. All women of the parish are considered members. Although you may not be free to attend monthly meetings, your help is needed with our projects; altar care, cooking for families when there has been a death. They are most helpful when preparing for parish deanery meetings, gatherings of priests, our Twelfth Night Dinner and more.
We do contact the women we know for help, but more workers are needed. If you are new to our parish or have never been called on, please call either June McDonald, 903-586-9731, or Linda Taylor (903-586-5825), to be added to the list.
The group was named during the years when our parish was a mission of the LaSallette Fathers. Our Lady of LaSallette was an apparition of the Blessed Mother that occurred in France shortly before the beginning of World War I. She warned of the impending horrors.
We appreciate your help, and remember that we meet monthly on the second Monday of each month.
