"The Bishop has entrusted the pastoral care of the faithful of this parish to me. My dream is that we reflect Christ to all we meet."

Our parish motto is "Bringing Christ to all.  Bringing All to Christ!"

These are the words of the Venerable Antonio Margil de Jesus, O.F.M., a Franciscan missionary who first brought Chrost to this part of the new world.

In 1719 he and other Franciscans, established missions in what is now the town of Alto, Texas.
