Faith Formation

Faith Formation, is offered at our Lady of Sorrows Parish in both English and Spanish at the education building. The program has approximately 500 pupils. There are 8 English-speaking teachers and 5 Spanish-speaking.

Classes for grades Pre-K through 6th grade are every other Wednesday from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., from September to May.  Classes for 7th through 12th grade are every other Sunday from 11:30 a.m.-1:00 p.m.

Sacramental Preparation classes are also offered for children ages 7 and above.  Children will receive Confirmation along with First Comunion.  This is usually a preparation process that lasts 10-15 months.

An Adult Education class is offered in English in the family room in the hall on Sundays from 10:15 am to 11:00 am.

Adult Sacramental preparation classes in both Spanish and English are offered as needed.

Spanish-speaking Baptismal conferences are offered monthly.  Parents and Sponsors are required to attend two sessions from 7:00 p.m.-9:00 p.m.  Please contact the parish office for dates of conferences.  

Baptismal conferences in English are held the first Saturday of the month from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m.monthly.

It is asked that anyone wishing to attend a baptismal conferences please register at the parish office in advance.
